Wearing a corsage at a wedding
by: Kevin (Modern Manners and Etiquette)

I am glad that you will be able to see your friend that you have not seen in quite some time! It is always a great opportunity to reconnect and see old friends.

As far as the corsage goes, it is best if you do not wear one. It will be confusing to other guests at the ceremony/reception.

Traditionally, the corsage is worn by those that are a part of the wedding party. So, if a guest wears a corsage, there will be many people that will think you are part of the wedding party.

What is worse is the people that are part of the wedding party will look at you funny wondering why you are wearing a corsage.

It would be better to wear a fashionable brooch or other pin to make a similar fashion statement without being confused as part of the wedding party.

Enjoy your time!
