Do you invite neighbors to wedding if they do not know your daughter?

We have neighbors we are friends with and our daughter does not know them. We just moved to the neighborhood three years ago and we are having the wedding at the neighborhood clubhouse.

Invite neighbors to wedding or not?
by: Kevin (Modern Manners and Etiquette)

There really is not a hard and fast rule when it comes to inviting neighbors to a wedding for your daughter.

It shows a nice gesture, but it is not a requirement. In your case, where the wedding will take place at a clubhouse instead of your yard, there is not the same amount of social pressure to invite them.

I don't know what kind of person you are, but some people find it difficult to get to know their neighbors without a reason to talk to them. If you have needed help breaking the ice with your neighbors (since you have only lived there a short time) this gives you a good opportunity to get to know them.

Hope the wedding goes well. Congratulations!
