We are going to have a baby reveal shower.

We would like to have a basket there for everyone to place a small gift item with all of the little necessities a baby needs. (cosmetics, bibs, toys, booties, etc.)

What would you recommend putting on the invitation to convey this information?

Invitation Wording For Baby Shower
by: Kevin (Modern Manners and Etiquette)

Thank you for your question.

One of the best ones that I have seen would be to have the theme focused around "The Bare Necessities." You could even use some of the themes from the song from Disney's "Jungle Book."

By using something clever like that, it becomes easy to convey to attendees that you are requesting the bare necessities for the baby. This could be anything from diapers, to baby powder, baby formula, etc.

The wording you could use would come directly from the words of the song. We are looking for the bare necessities for the baby. Bring the baby bare necessities that you could not bare to be without!

Something clever along this thought would let them know what they should bring to the shower.

Enjoy!
