Poor Manners - Stories and Examples

Poor manners is something that can make you feel terrible when it happens to you. It could be in the form of someone saying something rude to you, forgetting to invite you to a party, or any number of things that make you feel sad or angry.

We have all had experiences where someone has hurt our feelings and made us feel unimportant. These are the opposite feelings that this website is all about.

Poor MannersWe created this website as a way for people to learn how to influence people in a positive manner using etiquette and manners. The whole thought behind this is that when you treat people the right way and put their needs ahead of your own, you begin to make an impact on them in a positive way.

There are lessons to learn in doing things the right way. However, there are also lessons to be learned in what not to do.

Many of us learn through contrast or opposites. As an example, I can only know what cold is if I also know what hot is. In many respects, manners and etiquette are very similar. I can only know good manners if I know what poor manners or bad manners is.

So, that is the purpose of this part of our website. Think about those times in your life when you were treated wrongly. What was the situation and how did it make you feel? What poor etiquette was shown that could have been changed?

Was there a lesson that could be learned for everyone else to benefit from? We can learn lessons from other people's experiences and that is where this can be very helpful.

Not only can these examples of bad manners allow us the opportunity to learn a lesson, but it could also be good for a laugh.

What experiences have you had that you would like to share?
