When you are addressing invitations and the wife is the doctor, you have it correct.

Let's assume their names were John and Jane Doe with Jane being the doctor.

You could address the envelope either of the following ways and have it be correct:

Mr. and Mrs. John Doe

or

Dr. Jane Doe and Mr. John Doe

Both ways are acceptable in terms of proper etiquette.
